How to clean shure foam earbuds. Do it carefully or you might rip the foam from the plastic. While pulling upward with the fingernails rotate the earphone with the other hand. If you have silicone tips foam tips or covers on the earbuds pop them off.
Ear sleeves must be completely dry before reusing. Do not twist or rock back and forth. Loosen any gunk with a toothbrush and wipe it away.
Use a shirt a towel or paper towel to securely grasp the sleeve. Tug gently on the earbud tip to try pulling it out. I wash them in cold water and remove excess water with a cloth and then let them air-dry.
Scrub the tips and the grill well. Use an alcohol wipe to remove any excess rubbing alcohol. A wipe will do it.
First securely hold your 215 shell and tease the tip out by screwing it back and forth clockwise and counterclockwise while applying force to pull it. If your earphones have foam covers you can also remove and clean those with warm water and soap. If playback doesnt begin shortly try.
The only thing I do to clean them is slosh them around in some warm soapy water then let them air dry. Dip a Q-tip in it tap it to remove any extra drips and then gently clean the earbud. Inspect for damage and replace if necessary.
