Unfortunately Event Horizon is not the movie to answer these questions. I also LOVE Sphere. It builds a heavy sense of dread and atmosphere.

4 5 for Event Horizon by Steven E McDonald This is the novelisation of the movie so McDonald was not actually responsible for creating the story or characters but to be fair I feel he did a really good job with this adaption. There is going to be some spoilers ahead so consider yourself warned good Sirs and Madams. In the year 2047 a group of astronauts are sent to investigate and salvage the long lost starship Event Horizon.

In an episode of Party Down the cranky fanboy Roman explodes when another character fails to distinguish between the vampire-populated fantasy she enjoys and the hard sci-fi hes unhealthily obsessed with. Event Horizon is one of the movies that actually has a really great premise but is delivered in a terrible way. So - is Event Horizon 1997 a disturbing film.
