Is event horizon scary. Andersen successfully creates a tense depressing and claustrophobic atmosphere. Hearing the Event Horizon movie explained it becomes apparent that it is basically a haunted house set in space. It does not rely on gore although there is enough of that but rather it is the creepy atmosphere that engages the viewer.

1997s Event Horizon has developed a reputation as a disturbing horror movie. The impact of these sequences can be attributed to several things. The shoddiness of the computer animated effects Sam Neills role being a long way from Dr Alan Grant in Jurassic Park and that the movie itself wasnt very scary.

This film is one of the most frightening films of all time with an all-star cast and a killer plot set in space that continues to be as scary today as it was some twenty-plus years ago. James Rolfe discusses the 1997 film Event Horizon which is like Hellraiser in Space but better than the actual Hellraiser in space with pals Justin Silverm. The DVD had a special lost scenes part when they were required to cut down the movie by like 40 minutes because of content.
