Is No Man's Sky 60fps On Ps4

The results are illuminating once and for all confirming that a regular PS4 can run select sections of No Mans Sky at a true 60fps as we saw in some pre-release footage.

Is no man's sky 60fps on ps4. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I cant figure out how to get NMS to run in 1080 60 FPS on the PS4 Pro as mentioned in this article. I originally bought No Mans Sky launch day for PS4 but I later bought it on sale for the PC a year later just for increased graphics performance which I really like but I also upgraded my PS4 to a Pro and if you play at 1080p on the pro you get buttery smooth frame rates not locked 60fps but really close. A version of No Mans Sky on the XB1 may be able to push out 1080p but it would be very tight.

If youre more bothered about having a higher framerate than a 4K resolution or you just dont have a 4K display playing No Mans Sky on PS4 Pro runs at 1080p at a consistent 60fps though. There is no chance the game is running at 60FPS and its pretty obvious it regulary tanks to well below 30FPS which is extremely jarring to the point where its runining the experience.

So dont bother with it. I was already very happy they allowed me to take off the fps cap at 30 so I can enjoy thoss few extra frames. Neo probably cant run NMS in VR either because its still using AMDs Jaguar cpu cores. The pc version is way worse in terms of optimisation by the way. Were making a crazy game on a crazy scale and doing stuff that technically hasnt been done before.

The band is working on an album for the game too. PS4 Pro 4K TV like me. I changed my video settings to force 1080p and now the game is upscaled to 4K still looks great but FEELS smoother than it ever has.

AMDs card sees occasional dips below 60fps but both cards easily outperform the PS4 release in the frame rate department. Now I believe THIS is the true reason why NMS wont have VR support on PS4. No Mans Sky is possibly the worse game you could put on PS4 because it is not a good match.
