Once the powertune has sat on the carbon for awhile it softens it up to a putty like consistancy. I apply a thin bead to both sides of a new exhaust gasket or depending on the engine application apply a bead around all exhaust ports without the use of a mechanical gasket. Take a good new intake gasket and attach it to the head loosely with a couple of bolts.

The dealer has a method of running turbo in shop that might clean as well. Its on valve overlap. Once it is roughed out use progressively finer polishing wheels to smooth out any rough edges.

Pour about 8 ounces of engine cleaner -- about half the standard can -- into your plastic bottle or glass jar.
